AIMBEE lets students practise for entrance examinations under real exam conditions - the same timer, the same question pattern, the same on-screen paper - and then shows them exactly where they lost marks.

The problem

The original AIMBEE system had been running for years on old technology: a desktop program for typing in questions, two separate databases, and a student website that only worked on a computer. It served one organisation, access was controlled by printed vouchers, and there was no way to sell a test pack online or to run it for another institute under their own name.

What we built

• A rebuilt exam engine - full-length and sectional mock tests with a countdown timer, question palette, mark-for-review, and automatic submission at the end.
• A proper question bank - papers, sections, subjects and topics, with support for grouped sub-questions and per-exam marking rules including negative marking.
• Result analysis - score, accuracy, time spent per question, topic-wise strengths and weaknesses, and comparison against other candidates.
• White-label access for institutions - a college or coaching centre gets the platform under its own name, logo and colours, with its own students and its own content kept completely separate from everyone else.
• Online purchase - students buy test packs directly with an online payment, replacing the old printed voucher system, while institutions can still be billed per head or annually.
• A mobile app for students - so practice is not tied to a desktop computer.
• Data migration - every real question, paper and result from the old system is carried across, so nothing built up over the years is lost.

How it helps

• Students practise in exam conditions and see, in plain numbers, which topics to revise.
• Coaching centres run the platform as their own product without building anything.
• Each institution's data is walled off at the database level, not just hidden in the screens.
• New exams and new marking patterns are configuration, not development work.

Technology

A Next.js web application, a React Native mobile app, a Node and Express API, and a single PostgreSQL database with strict tenant isolation. Login is by mobile OTP; payments are collected through an online gateway.
